Due to the increasing veterinary use of L-Mesitran, we would like to share a case study about vasculitis on a horse which is usually treated with antibiotics and corticosteroids. A 19 year old stallion suffered from advanced vasculitis; the wounds were present in a full circle around all four legs. An 87 year old female diabetic, suffered from an open wound on her left foot due to a transmetatarsal amputation. Culture swabs showed that the wound was infected with Proteus mirabilis.
