We would like to share one of the case studies done by Dr. Wei-Chao Huang, M.D. Phd. from the Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taipei, Taiwan.

A 37 year old male patient was diagnosed with Diabetes Mellitus Type 1.The patient had a wound on his right foot, due to repeated trauma.The wound was previously treated with topical antibiotics, but this treatment was not able to provide adequate debridement and delayed wound healing.

The wound was coated with a biofilm caused by Staph. aureus. After the application of L-Mesitran Ointment the biofilm was removed and thereafter the sloughy tissue was removed in three weeks time.

Nos gustaría compartir uno de los estudios de caso realizados por el Dr. Wei-Chao Huang, MD, PhD. en el Hospital Chang Gung, en Taipei, Taiwán.

Un paciente de 37 años de edad fue diagnosticado con Diabetes Mellitus Tipo 1.El paciente presentaba una herida en su pie derecho, debido a un trauma repetido. La herida fue previamente tratada con antibióticos tópicos, sin embargo este tratamiento no proporcionó un desbridamiento adecuado y retrasó la cicatrización de la herida. La herida se encontraba cubierta por un biofilm causado por Estafilococos aureus .

Después de la aplicación de L-Mesitran, la película fue retirada y posteriormente el tejido necrótico fue removido en tres semanas.
